Should God's people be afraid of Satan?

1 John 4:4: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome the demonic: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

When John says the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world, he is saying that God is greater than the devil. Jesus overcame the devil and did not give in to him and his temptations, and we can too, because we have placed our faith in Christ. Believers are no longer blinded by the devil and his demons.

I don't think we should get haughty about resisting Satan, though. In order to overcome Satan and his demons when they tempt us, the Bible says not to attempt to fight Satan in your own strength, but the way to fight him is to resist him....period! The Bible says when we resist Satan in the name of Jesus and by HIS authority, Satan and his demons MUST depart! They have to flee! Not because you said so, but because you have commanded them by the authority of Jesus Christ! Jesus and His blood are far more powerful than Satan and his demons, so they must flee and they tremble at the name of Jesus! Even they know God is real and His Son:

James 2:19
You believe that there is one God: you do well: the devils also believe it, and tremble!

We must speak the name of Jesus when commanding Satan and his demons to leave us, because we are commanding them in the name of Jesus and by HIS authority, and at that, demons tremble at the mere mention of Jesus' name. Demons are subject to the name of Jesus!

Luke 10:17 - "And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name."

Demons know exactly who they're messing with. Even they know God is real. They know they cannot cross the bloodline of Jesus, and demons shake because they haven't surrendered. They are literally playing with fire. They acknowledge that God exists, but stubbornly refuse to stop their evil, so Jesus can save them. They have anchored their destiny to Satan, the Father of Lies, whom they chose to follow, but ultimately they are accountable to the God of Truth....as is anyone who is foolish enough to believe the lies of Satan and worship him or follow him.

Satan and demons go by many names, but here are a few:

Beelzebub: False Gods (Matthew 4:1–11)

Python: Spirits of Lying (1 Kings 22:21–22)

Belial: Instruments of iniquity and wrath (Genesis 49:5, Psalms 7:13, Isaiah 13:5, Jeremiah 50:25, Ezekiel 9:2)

Asmodeus: Revengers of Wickedness.
Satan: Deluders or Imitators of miracles (Genesis 3:1–5)

Regardless of what they call themselves, the Bible warns to stay away from demons and not believe their lies. Worshiping Satan and his demons, will end one up with him, in hell. And once one gets there, there's no changing your mind. You are there for good, for all eternity, with no escape.

This is why it is so important to make a decision to follow our Savior, Jesus, today....while we still can. He didn't tell us that to scare us. He told us that because the reality of it, is that we don't know what tomorrow will bring, so that's why Jesus said make sure you prepare today, so you won't miss heaven. He doesn't want any to miss heaven.

Another crucial thing to remember, is that the Bible says if you do nothing, absolutely nothing to prepare your soul for eternity, then your sins will keep you separated from God and heaven, for all eternity. Heaven is, and was, created to be nothing but holy and sinless. Sin cannot be allowed in heaven or it wouldn't be called heaven. It is a place of nothing but joy, peace, and love. No sin will enter heaven, so we must prepare our spirit to be able to enter heaven. We cannot drag our sins into heaven. However, God prepared a way for us to have heaven when we die. He said if we go to Jesus and ask him to forgive us our sins, He will definitely forgive us and promises to do so...then our souls shall be prepared for heaven.

Praise God, that we even have that opportunity right now, to escape the condemnation that sin placed on us all. The Bible says Jesus did not come into this world to condemn the world, but to save it! And nothing but the blood of Jesus can save us. It's too late for the demons to be saved. They don't want to be saved, but praise God we can still be saved. We should take a lesson from them and know that we need to be saved, because we are each responsible for our own sins and our own souls. No one made us sin. That was our decision alone, and we must repent of our sins, if we want eternal life in heaven. Jesus didn't have to come down from heaven and save us by paying for our sins on the cross, but He did. He not only said He loves us, He proved it by His death on the cross.

Don't listen to the devil. No matter who you are, you can be saved and Jesus turns no one away. Absolutely no one, who wants salvation. I hope and pray that any that are not saved, will ask Jesus to save them today. He said no one can come to His Father, unless they come through Him, Jesus, our one and only Mediator between God and man. 1st Timothy 2:5. Jesus said you try it another way, but it won't work. We can either trust God, or trust man, but Jesus said man will never save us and he cannot save his own self from his own sins. It takes Jesus. I think we would be foolish to trust man, over God. God cannot lie.

Why do you think Satan fights so hard for your soul. In the spiritual world he fights for your soul because he wants you to suffer with him in hell. We don't fight flesh and blood. We fight spiritual evil powers and principalities. And the only way to fight Satan in the spiritual realm, is to turn to Almighty God, who is more powerful than Satan and his demons could ever be! This is a war only God can win for us.

I truly believe this. At times, God may make Angels contact us and that's very rare phenomenon just to let us feel confident or tell us something important. I remember @Musicman and a few other guys having a encounter with possibly Angels but as i said, it is very rare, when we seek an answer or God has something important to tell us. God had important information for Mary and she encountered Angels but not many times, I guess. But I would like to hear more on it from you.

This makes this post very real and important as few people are scared of devils. They must keep their head and faith on Christ Jesus. He is our savior. More importantly, The guidance of Holy Spirit is with us when we ask for it.

Thank you for this superb post.
@JonathanSJ If God wants to tell us something, he'll let us know himself or through another person, but not through angels. If any can find any Scripture at all that says that angels talk to people and give them messages in this day and age, let me know. The Bible does speak only about angels ministering to people, guardian watching over them but not talking to them. That is in the scripture.

That statement makes no sense. I think you must have been half asleep when you wrote it. There are people scared of demons. Even some Believers so that's why I wrote this post. They don't have to be if they study scripture and read what I wrote above.
Amen! We cannot fight the devil in our own strength as he is far more intelligent, etc.

Doing things like reading the bible everyday and praying keeps him at bay!

The only thing I'm afraid is how satan use people. This is why I stay alone....F this Sinful life that always screws you over.

Even if I can pray to God to meet a non toxic person, I still don't feel ready.

Meanwhile I'm doing researching the human brain when it comes to problems and how to react tours them.
@FreestyleArt Well the best thing to do is to do our best for the Lord and try not to sin and pray for ourselves and others that we will withstand temptation and not give in and the Lord gives us the power to do that through him. Satan cannot use people unless they allow it.
