Do you fear death?

If so... can I ask why you still fear death?

Family responsibilities?
Other people need you?
Unfinished business?
A general fear?

I don't fear death anymore. I don't know if that's a good numb feeling to have or a bad numb feeling.

I'm not scared of dying
And I don't really care
If it's peace you find in dying
Well, then let the time be near

If it's peace you find in dying
And if dying time is near
Just bundle up my coffin cause
It's cold way down there
I hear that's it's cold way down there
Yeah, crazy cold way down there

And when I die and when I'm gone
There'll be one child born
In this world, to carry on, to carry on

Now troubles are many
They're as deep as a well
I can swear there ain't no heaven
But I pray there ain't no hell

Swear there ain't no heaven
And I pray there ain't no hell
But I'll never know by living
Only by dying will tell
Yes, only by dying will tell, yeah
Only my dying will tell

And when I die and when I'm gone
There'll be one child born
In this world to carry on, to carry on

Give me my freedom for as long as I be
All I ask of the living is to have no chains on me
All I ask of living is to have no chains on me
And all I ask of dying is to go naturally
Only want to go naturally

Here I go, ah
Hey, hey

Here comes the devil, right behind
Look out children, here he come
Here he come

Hey

Don't want to go by the devil
Don't want to go by the demon
Don't want to go by Satan
Don't want to die uneasy
Just let me go naturally

And when I die and when I'm dead, dead and gone
There'll be one child born
In our world to carry on, to carry on, yeah, yeah
@spice1 This poem is really sad. There IS hope out there. Jesus didn't leave us to guess about that. That's a very scary thought and Jesus didn't want us to be afraid when we die, because he said if you prepare right now, you'll know exactly where you're going when you die and He came to prove it by His example. Jesus didn't say maybe you'll go to heaven. He told us we would definitely go to heaven if we prepare our souls and let him help us get there. When we invite Jesus into our hearts and lives as Savior, he forgives our sins and this prepares us to be with him in heaven for eternity. No guessing about it. Over 500 Witnesses saw Jesus's death and then after he rose from the dead, he stayed amongst them for days to make sure they saw that he had risen again from the dead and then they all watched him ascend into heaven, to his Heavenly Father. His mission was to show us and tell us how to get to heaven and when he was finished with that mission, he ascended back to His Father in Heaven. But of course if you don't want to believe that and take Jesus at his word, then no, you're not going to go to heaven. That's what Jesus said because we cannot walk into heaven with sin on our heels. I don't know why people don't understand why He came all the way from heaven, as if he just came for a vacation. No. He paid for our sins on the cross, because He was the only one worthy enough to do that since He is sinless, and whosoever believes in Him and accepts Him as their Savior, is guaranteed everlasting life, as well, if they will allow Him to wash away their sins by His love and grace. There's really no excuse for anyone to miss heaven unless they just refuse to believe God. We don't ever get to Heaven by our own efforts, but by taking God at His word, and by trusting in Him and His promise to save us from the condemnation that sin placed on us. God never breaks a promise

@LadyGrace This is not a poem it's a song called And When I Die, basically it says we're all gonna die whether we believe in God or whoever, our time will come no matter what so it's best to be prepared, it's best to accept it and hopefully when it does come we'll go peacefully.
@spice1 "Hopefully" is much too uncertain. Our soul is too precious to gamble with, when Jesus says we can know where we'll spend eternity, if will just prepare and allow him to save us. This is something far too important to guess at.

@LadyGrace let me ask you this, if we prepare and allow Jesus to save us what happens if we die in an accident?
@spice1 You said what happens if we prepare. Do you know what that means? Because if any are definitely prepared, meaning they have invited Jesus into their hearts and lives as Savior....whichever way they die, has no bearing on where they will go. They will already have their souls prepared for whatever they face in Life or in death. Their destination shall definitely be heaven.

@LadyGrace Don't get me wrong I believe in God and I pray and talk to him whenever I want, yes I know what prepared means, one day I'll die, I have accepted that, and when I die I'll stand before God and answer for everything I've done in life and he will judge me.
@spice1 But he won't judge you for your sins. The Believers judgment is way different than the unbelievers judgment. The Believers don't have to be judged for their sins because they have already been forgiven. Jesus doesn't have to pay for them again, and sinners don't have to be condemned for what Jesus paid for with His life, and erased in the believer's life. Our sins were blotted out by the blood of Jesus. They can't condemn us any more. God's grace covers past, present, and future sins.

There's no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Roman's 8:1

The Believers will stand before the Bema Seat of Christ. The unbelievers shall stand guilty before God and face him at the Great White Throne judgment seat.

@LadyGrace So what you're saying is as a believer you can sin all you want and your sins will be forgiven, what makes the unbelievers guilty?
@spice1 That's what most people would believe, but they are sadly mistaken. God will not be mocked by those who would take advantage of His grace. He knows their heart and motives. Just because we're saved, doesn't give us a license to sin. The person who loves God with all their heart and mind, will not want to hurt him by deliberately sinning. Sin has consequences, whether we are saved or not. There's only one difference. I'm writing a post about that, in private, addressing just that, as we write. When I'm finished I'll post it.
@spice1 I think I'll finish writing that particular post, later, as I don't want to throw up a rushed haphazard post when the message is so important
