What Is Truth?
That's what Pilate asked Jesus in the Praetorium and didn't even know that he was looking right at the Truth in His eyes. In this fallen world of ours, there will always be the Truth of God and the lie of Satan. The Truth of God will always remain in spite of it being mocked, denied, ridiculed, and hated. There are some who seek to change it to fit their agendas but will never do it. God has established Truth before the foundations of the world were put together. Some will even try to change the history of mankind recorded in the Word of God but will never be able to do it. When will they learn that they can't change what has already taken place in the history of mankind? Why? Because, they do not like being accountable to the one true God who lives forever; who breathed life into their lungs and gave them life in their mothers' wombs. The prophesy that Paul wrote in his second letter to Timothy sums it up this way.
4 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:1-5
The prophesy in Peter's second letter to the churches is also coming true.
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:3-4
The nature of the natural man is to mock, ridicule, deny, and hate what he doesn't understand since he can do nothing else. Satan is his puppet master and has blinded him to the Truth of God. Jesus can remove those strings if he would only ask Him to. Nobody is out God's reach but not everybody wants to be held by God in His loving arms. That is a sad thing to behold.
