The insistence of hate

It seems that certain Christians will insist that they are "hated".

I think this is possibly to do with the 8th Beatitude as recorded in St Matthew's gospel:-

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"

Therefore to feel "hated" will increase a certain sense of "justification" - it is so (the hatred of me) because I am of the righteous, a true believer.

Just saying.

Looking back through history, many people of diverse faiths, have suffered persecution. Often, sadly, at the hands of ardent Christians.

Where is a true "righteousness"?

the only thing that people hate about Christian’s is how they shovel force feed everyone else with their religion. period. they don’t understand that. at all.

no one hates them for practicing their religion. just don’t force it on others. it’s simple.
@deathfairy
Christians in America want the country to be a theocracy governed by Christian morality.
Look at our conservative Christian Supreme Court pushing their Christian morality into the law of the land against the will of the majority.

Organized religion is a scourge on the world .
Practice your beliefs at home and leave the rest of us alone!!
America is not a Christian nation, most of the founding fathers were deists, not Christian.
The separation of church and state was the foundation of our nation.

Now it’s being transformed into a blended government of religious principles and values that are destined to destroy our republic.
@deathfairy I find many christians, including those who are on this site , are ever trigger happy. The mildest of questioning leads to a mountain of abuse and bad language from the christian involved.
