Actually his Word does not give testimony to him creating the Earth 6,000 years ago.
Nowhere in scripture does it say the Earth is 6000 years old.
It is the assumption of the translators and pass down through the centuries that God created the Earth 6,000 years ago and Adam's sinned basically within days after God formed and placed him here.
They don't know how long Adam was here before he sinned. Adam could have been here a 1, 2, 3 hundred thousand years or even a million man's time.
Adam had access to the Tree of Life, then they'll say he never ate from it - how do they know, they wasn't there. Then they'll say the Bible doesn't say he did - there's a lot of things the Bible doesn't say. God told him when he put him in the garden he could eat of every tree except the fruit of the tree of knowledge and the tree of life was in the midst of the garden.
Please where in the Bible God's Word say he created the Earth 6,000 years ago.

Are you a mathematician?

Strange question ... Very strange question what does being a mathematician have to do what is or isn't written in the Bible.

Mathematicians added up all the years that the Word of God was written and came up with 4000 years. This is why I asked you if you were a mathematician being that you mentioned that 6000 year term is not in His Word.

you missed the point - I know exactly what you were doing -------------- *Nowhere in God's Word does it say that the Earth is 6000 years old.
Those mathematicians that you speak so highly of assume that Adam sinned doing the first day/week/month after his creation ........***The correct statement should be it was just over 6,000 years ago when Adam sinned.***
Those mathematicians that you so highly speak of *assume* that the Earth was created in a literal six 24-hour day time, trying to analyze from 2nd Peter 3:8 where it says a day to God is as a thousand years and A thousand years is as a day _ ignoring that second Peter 3:8 is just an example of how God is Not subject to time ((key words IS AS)) - so to God one day can be as a million / trillion years ...... There is ongoing debate about the Hebrew word y o m translated day, which could mean a long period of time, as well as various other things instead of a literal 24-hour day.
Plus those mathematicians you speak so highly of use children listed in the Bible throughout the generations as a means of figuring out time spans - ignoring that all of the offspring in those or any family lines may not have been named..... Ignoring that the Hebrew books / scrolls were destroyed at least twice once by the Babylonians and then by the Romans and had to be rewritten at least twice _ ignoring what information could have been / is lost.
But I've said enough - you rely on those mathematicians - the age of the Earth is not what saves you..... God warned us the ways of man are not his ways the way men think is not how he thinks.
Thought I'd add this Harvard University is now saying the Earth was a water world over 3 billion years ago. Genesis chapter one verses 6 7 and 9 refers to the earth once being a waterworld and in verse 9 God commanded dry land to appear.

I just love how the analysis of science and Genesis chapter1 mostly coincide !

You missed the point as well. There's only one interpretation of God's Word and that belongs to Him, and Him alone, and whomever He wishes to share it with through His Spirit of Truth. You want to know the age of the earth? Ask Him.

@GodSpeed63 actually no I didn't miss the point.
Exactly - there is only one interpretation and apparently you can't show where God's Word said that the Earth is 6,000 years old.
You brought up mathematicians who analyze....
I don't need to know the age of the Earth therefore I don't want to and I believe the Earth is old very old billions of years old.

@GodSpeed63 says who the Bible surely doesn't say it .... And enough of this scripture says not to argue over scripture.... goodbye
