If Skeptics Claim That God Doesn't Live, Why Do They Hate Him So Much?

For years skeptics claim that God doesn't live and yet, they get their noses out of joint when we share the love of Christ. Why?

How can Skeptics hate someone they claim isn't there? Why do they hate us for sharing Him on here? What's the big deal?

Another thing is: they've been hollering for proof that God lives and when they get it, they reject it? Where's the logic in that?

And yet, when we challenge them to present proof of what they're claiming is true, they get their noses out of joint in frustration and start to mock and ridicule us hoping we will go away. We will not go away.

Why can't the skeptics prove their claims are true instead of arguing with us about them? Is it really that hard for them to do?

Remember, in a discussion, we try to get at what's right but in an argument, we try to get at who's right. In this fallen world of ours there is only the Truth of God and the lies of men. You share the Truth, you're right - you push the lie, you're wrong. It's that simple.

Can they hate someone they claim is fictitious? No. So they bother because they really don't know and they could be searching. Otherwise, they wouldn't bother, unless they are either bored or a troll. People are going to believe what they want to believe, no matter what others say. We don't have to prove God to anyone, because God already proved himself to people long ago, and if they don't believe him for who he was and what he did, that speaks for itself. Some simply do not want to know God. Then there are those that say they want to know God, yet all they want to do is argue, so they're not really looking for God. If they don't believe in God, and they know they want nothing to do with him, it makes no sense for them to just come to argue. Why waste the energy?

We can pray for people, but it's not our job to convince them. The Holy Spirit will do that, as we pray for them. And then we have to realize that there are some who just don't know what they want or whom to turn to. If people are really looking for God, they're not going to try to find every excuse in the book to find fault with him. Instead, they will seek him out and learn to trust that what he says, he means, and he can be trusted. It really makes no sense for these people to argue day after day about the existence of God, when all they have to do is turn to God's Word for the truth and if they can't believe that, then they should simply go on about their lives and not worry about those who do teach the Word of God.

God made it very simple. We either believe or we don't. There's no in between. He has made himself known to all, so that all are without excuse, if they can't say that they didn't know the truth. Those that want to know Him, will ask questions and be willing to learn. It's always a good idea to be informed and then make a decision.

Man wants to lean towards putting God in a box of his own design, instead of listening to what God said about how to be saved. Man has not yet learned that he does not set the standard for salvation. God does, and it is not up to man to change it. If he doesn't agree with what God said, man can go his own way and he knows where that will lead. He is not stupid. It's pretty much a no-brainer. Either man wants to go to heaven or he wants to go to hell, and he knows how to do one or the other. Why anyone would choose the alternative to Heaven, I will never know. God made it clear that we don't have to have every answer there is to know, before we can go to heaven. He has told us the most important thing to know of all, and that is how to be saved and how to get to heaven. If anyone misses it, it will not be God's fault.
