Today as I contemplated

The problems between my daughter’s step mom and myself, I realized that she judges me in materialistic ways, and I judge her in spiritual ways. I realized that it is true that those of us who love beyond appearances have a spiritual set of values, and other who look for faults that are superficial, measure themselves and other on materialistic and traditional behavior from whatever their culture values. In that moment I felt a sudden connection to a biblical phrase, “I am in this world, but not of this world” people who are only committed to their own desires and possessing and vengeance and not to safety or needs, are in the world and of the world. Thank God for a spiritual path, that guides me to mercy and compassion. I am grateful for the friends that I have who are full of compassion and understanding! It’s a nice world.
