Do you ever ask God forgivness for your sins?

I realused last 30 days I was fasting that I never ever properly asked God to forgive my sins. Think that I am almost 40.

Maybe I was always thinking God is all forgiving and mercifull and he will forgive me. But never thought of actually asking.

Last 30 days thats what I did every day. Maybe this is the key for happy life.

Yes, God does forgive sins and then move on to what
Jesus said: be thou perfect as your Father in heaven is.
Scott
@ArcAngel God does not expect us to be perfect. He knows we can't. But instead of using "I'm human" as an excuse to walk in the flesh, we should have the attitude, "I'm saved", as a reason to walk in the Spirit.

@LadyGrace
No, God does expect us to be perfect:
2 Chr 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the
whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of
them whose heart is Perfect toward him.
Lev 19:2
...Ye shall be Holy: for I the Lord your God am Holy.
Lev 20:7
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye Holy: for I am the
Lord your God.
Lev 20:26
And ye shall be Holy unto me: for I the Lord am Holy.
Lev 21:6-8
They shall be Holy unto their God...
...For he is Holy unto his God.
...He shall be Holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctify
you, am Holy.

@ArcAngel You're teaching another gospel. There's no way that God expects us to be perfect, and He knew we couldn't, so he sent his Son to save us. You take verses out of context and interpret them the way you like.

Perfectionism is a ponderous weight we must lay aside with faith (Hebrews 12:1). God doesn't want us to focus on performing perfectly; he wants us to focus on living out dependent faith through authentic acts of love (Galatians 5:6).

Roman's 15:7 tells us Christ accepts you as is, flaws and all. He doesn't require your perfection, because He is the only One who can be completely without sin. His acceptance of you can help you accept others, with their flaws, as well. Jesus said to come to Him as we are. John 3:16 He said we don't have to be perfect before, OR after, salvation. He knows that we could never ever meet His perfect standard of salvation. We will only reach perfection, those who go to heaven.
@ArcAngel Now I see who you are. Just another recycled troll.
