IS there any reason to think humans have a soul? [Spirituality & Religion]

I mean besides a religion telling you there is one.
What about humans indicates there is something more than in other animals? Something that exists beyond the physical body?

Well I am really into paranormal stuff and that has led me to believe that there exists something beyond the physical realm.

What sort of stuff?

a spirit requires electricity to manifest itself, while a demon may not. even the spiritual realm needs the elements of air [in RPG terms its considered lightning/thunder] to even take effort to send a message or perhaps try to show itself.

in philosophy though... the biggest question is what are we controlling? body, mind, or soul? as though it may sound like Meta-physics, perhaps its best to consult a non-scientific method

I have watched shows like Ghost Adventures, but have also heard firsthand accounts of experiences. I have visited a few purportedly haunted places and just felt something that's hard to explain. Energy, maybe...I toured the Missouri State Penitentiary and there is one cell where a brutal murder took place. The energy in that one cell is WAY different than the rest of the rooms.

Another place I toured with my family was a haunted winery that was originally a hospital in the 1800s. We took 150 photos and there is an apparition in one.

@BellaLocura:

lol well i wouldn't pay any attention to bullshit like ghost adventures.
But i do wonder why there is so much anecdotal evidence of ghosts
