Well, an artist's depiction of a description in the Bible. Also in the Bible - angels appearing in human form. Hebrews 13:2 urges: “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” Genesis chapter 18 records a time when three angels (one of whom was the Angel of the Lord) appeared as men to Abraham and Sarah. The angels even ate a human meal while they were there. Lot and his wife entertained angels in human disguise while in Sodom (or Gomorrah?)
