Aside from death what can't be avoided in life ?

Everything negative, but all the negative is necessary. What is light without darkness? What is faith and loyalty without unfaithfulness and disloyalty. The good in life is only good because there is bad, without the bad stuff, there would be no reference for the good in our lives. What is love without hate? You don't have to be a party to hate, but it is impossible to avoid it. I can't see a way to avoid death, I am old enough to know I have been here longer than I have left to go. I think all the negative things in life are unavoidable, that just makes the good stuff better.
