Following your intuition is not about what you're getting or where you're going. It's about surrendering to a power greater than you. Once you let the Universe guide you, that's when you get into the flow of life again, and that's when everything can come to you.

Your ego is not your intuition, resistance to surrendering to flow is not where you need nor deserve to be energetically. Allowing yourself to flow rather than resist makes you the magnet which attracts, no longer repelling and keeping a closed door to what is meant for you.

Intuition doesn't speak but points the way. It guides us when we deviate from our dreams and aspirations. It shows the side that radiates peace in the long term and comforts in the short term. Listening to intuition will make life a breeze. Let your soul fly!

@LamontCranston True, but it's based upon each own circumstance and where they are in their lives. It is possible to have a "Go with the flow" attitude, but you are still able to work towards any goals and dreams that are meaningful to you. Waking up each day to wonder what's going to happen next may ultimately lead you to the same stepping stone, almost like a hamster wheel per se.

You do initially have to step outside and explore, try new things, and make reasonable plans for where you want to go. You can't screw up things that are truly meant for you. Don't be unsure, or skeptical, trust your intuition!
