Why? [Spirituality & Religion]

I have a friend who doesn't go to church, never reads the Bible and doesn't really care about the rules in there, nor do they influence the way he acts. But he keeps telling me that I should come back to God, and that I'm lost because i'm agnostic-atheist. Wtf.

Make up your own mind about God. You obviously have an opinion about your friend. Two different things. We are all sinners and will never live a perfect life in the eyes of each other or in the eyes of God. Don't use him as to whether you should or should not pursue God.

I hope my post didn't make it sound as if I'm using him as a reason not to be religious, because I'm not, I have my reasons and they don't include him. I just find it annoying.

Humans can be annoying I guess. 😉

Being religious is different than having a relationship with God/Jesus. I was brought up Catholic and found it very cold and distant. Long story made short....when you know there is a God that loves you and wants to have relationship with you, one that hears and answers your prayers, and gives you free will to have that relationship with Him it is very different than being religious. Does that make sense?

@msvirginia: it does make sense, even though I don't personally see it the same way. I think spirituality is more about the spiritual being that we have inside us.
