Why? [Spirituality & Religion]

I have a friend who doesn't go to church, never reads the Bible and doesn't really care about the rules in there, nor do they influence the way he acts. But he keeps telling me that I should come back to God, and that I'm lost because i'm agnostic-atheist. Wtf.

Well the god of the Bible is very hypocritical himself so I suppose your friend is just copying his god.

He's a good guy though, maybe just brainwashed.

@MrMarcus: I understand. I see people doing that same thing every day. If this person is truly your friend though then you might want to tell him some truth, just as food for thought.

Start by telling him that the New Testament in his bible was compiled in the 4th century by the Roman Emperor Constantine who was by no means a Christian. Tell him to Google that and read.

You could also tell him to Google "Apocypha" and read. The logical conclusion is that he Bible is not an original book AND it was plagiarized.

@Wraithorn: I've tried several times to explain him why I don't believe anymore, but he just doesn't want to listen. So I've just decided to let him draw his own conclusions.

@MrMarcus: Fair enough. If you want to understand why he thinks that way then read about Cognitive Dissonance. That is something that everyone who is attempting to overcome religious brainwashing experiences.
