Aren't babies born atheist? [Spirituality & Religion]

An atheist is a person who either actively disbelieves in god/gods or simply a person who lacks belief in god/gods.

Obviously babies do not disbelieve that god exists but they DO lack a belief in god.
So therefor they must be atheists, yes?

Nah. Stupidity presupposes that there is thought going on, just at a limited level. A dead person has no thought and therefore no thought to be described as intelligent or stupid

@UnparalleledMonster: and you just answered your own question about babies.. they can't formulate thoughts that are intelligent. they have limited capacity to determine if thy are atheist or not..

Nope. Babies ARE stupid. In some ways at least.

But they don't have a belief in god. So they are by definition atheist.

...yes. But all that's required to be an atheist is that you lack belief, not that you disbelieve.
