life after death

do you also believe in life after death? i believe because i believe what the urantia book says about it, my elderly mother reads the urantia book and takes great comfort from it....there are many worlds and realms after this life, all heavenly, where all suffering that you undergo in this life, is gone.

I think mostly the concept is the human attempt to comfort themselves, but neither can I say there is nothing. There’s plenty about the world and humans in particular that thumbs its nose at logic, so I don’t pretend to think I know what can or cannot be. I’ll find out soon enough.

I believe there is life after death. There are compelling logical, religious, and anecdotal reasons for it. Beyond that, I won’t say much as I don’t talk about my personal spiritual beliefs.

I don't begrudge anyone their beliefs, and I hope people take comfort from whatever it is they pray for.

@Mindfulness well, you would be wrong about that, the spirit continues on to new destinies, but if you haven't got the faith and don't believe, then you're lost.

Yes I do believe in an afterlife.

I don’t believe it has anything to do with any current organised religion. I think it is a very final but peaceful and powerful process.
