what does salt mean spiritually?

Found salt on top of my work desk at home. It wasn't me and I kept asking if my gf threw salt on my work desk. It might be for some weird spiritual shit. And she told me no that wasn't her. Kept asking her about it, to the point I low key annoyed her. We are the only ones in my place but this happened a few times already. where salt just appear randomly at my work desk. I know I live by the ocean but still it's weird af. In the amount that keeps appearing around the same place.

@SW-User @DeluxedEdition I found out apparently some Catholics throw salt to scare off evil spirits. Been kind of depressed lately people because of all the death that happened in my family this year. It's been affecting my productivity. So I guess that's why she was doing it. Just find it weird she denies it.

Maybe she doesn't want to spook you by admitting to it. Maybe she will admit it over time.
