I Am On My Own Spiritual Path

I think the main reason why the vast majority of the population aren't more curious or interested about the nature of reality and other such things, is because most of us have been conditioned into "survival consciousness" - a way of "living" (ostensibly) which deems certain ideas and perspectives as unnecessary and unimportant; kooky and weird. We're supposed to just survive, and that's all. We don't have time for "new age" mumbo jumbo or anything which wanders off script. Go to work, pay your taxes. Don't ask questions.

Expectations of how we believe we should think regiments our consciousness and funnels it into basic everyday operations instead. Many of us just want to get by in life, and there's nothing wrong with this. It's just an extremely circumscribed way to exist. In fact, a lot of us can live an entire lifetime of experiences without having challenged ANY of our prior assumptions or beliefs about how things work. Many of us just want something tried and tested to cling to. The idea of having to sweat for our answers or to explore something new or different puts most people off.

I wonder how many of us know that understanding life is our responsibility, and that nobody is ever going to come along and learn things for us or explain the how's and why's of reality. If you don't bother to seek, you'll never find...
