Bill Nye is an engineer with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and honorary doctorates from several universities.

Kent Hovind is a rather unsavory character with criminal convictions, including for violence. His "qualifications" are from a diploma mill. Even other creationists distance themselves from him.

@Sharon And yet, Kent Hovind is still far smarter than Bill Nye. George W Bush graduated from Harvard. Doesn't mean much. Most of the greatest minds in history did not have degrees. In fact, they were bad at school. I don't care about diplomas, degrees, (and honorary degrees are a joke btw) or any of that. The important question here is who is right? You're using a logical fallacy which is called appeal to authority, to evade learning and investigating the truth.

Criminal convictions like opposing taxes which are theft, right? Taxes are what's criminal. The government has no right to take by force and coercion that which we work hard for, and use it for what? Well, many useless things, like for instance, bombing brown countries and killing innocent families and children. Anyone who is so under mind control that they continue to believe that taxation is not theft, well go ahead and continue to believe that, you're delusional and fooling yourself. A regular person doesn't have the right to just take from someone else what doesn't belong to them, so why does the government have that right? It is taking from someone who you don't have a right to take from. The ego needs to step aside to understand a lot of this.

Not at all. Science is based on reason. Kent Hovind is a fantasist. He was also recently convicted of assaulting his estranged wife.

He makes a big deal of science not being able to say where everything came from. That's simply scientists being honest. He fails to explain where his god came from however so he's a hypocrite too.
