Who here is a Nihilist? [Spirituality & Religion]

And not the suicidal type that just has no value over themselves. The ones who believe in becoming their own god and detaching from wants and needs.

I'm not sure that becoming one's own god is a great idea. All the other ones are a bit shitty.

The idea on paper sounds shitty and egotistical. Especially to someone strong of a different faith. Being your own god is not about actually thinking or acting that you are an all powerful and unstoppable deity physically, but not or less emotionally and empowering. Most dedicated nihilists I've met are some of the most uplifting individuals I've ever met.

@WickedWizardoftheWaste: How about the idea that we are all human?

Limited by our bodies and minds.

And acknowledging that the god stories are just stories.

There is nothing and there will be nothing. We are just momentary blips who happen to make meaning from our blips.

And those meanings are all that matter to us and those around us.

So let's try to have fun while the experience lasts.

Because our individual experience will never be repeated.

@ThodsisLorafark: how about change the first sentence and then I'd say you have a decent idea what nihilism is.

@WickedWizardoftheWaste: Some of us aren't human? ;)
