Is it true? Or hear say?

It's a pack of lies compiled by a politician centuries after jesus walked the earth...AFTER his buddies torched the Great Library of Alexandria - all the true western accounts of jesus got torched .....

@yllacsar: Bull. How do you kmow they were the most true accounts?

I need to look into this I've never heard about it..... @yllacsar:

There are many historical accounts of jesus from both the near and far east...the catholics did a pretty good job of burning everything non congruent with their controlling lies - but they did not get it all - so there's some western accounts....

unfortunately most of the many tomes recorded during the actual time period WERE destroyed - so we'll never know -

But it was TWO CENTURIES after Jesus' time that POLITITICIANS compiled the new testament....a convenient pack of lies to ensure better control of the masses..

Somethings are clear -
Jesus believed in and preached re-incarnation and karmic mindfullness..

And he was likely married and prodigenous...

He was also a very dark skinned jew - which begs the question why he's portrayed in pics and statues as a very white hippie lookin dude...
Firechidist26-30, F
How can you know that about Jesus if all the true copies of his account were destroyed?
Firechidist26-30, F
That he preached reincarnation and karmic mindfulleness I mean?
Firechidist26-30, F
Let me ask you something. If the new testament was a pack of lies to control the masses. Why were the historically first christians Paul, Peter, John etc. Ready to be killed and willingly suffer persecution for a man that only reincarnated and did not rise from the dead? Why would anyone be willing to die for a man who is already dead?
yllacsar46-50, M
That's certainly the consensus of accounts from the time period that were not destroyed....
Turns out he was very well travelled...accounts of his presence as far away as china are numerous and similar enough to paint a fairly clear picture....
yllacsar46-50, M
Why ? Do you understand WHY the dark ages are called "the Dark Ages ??
It was litterally illegal and punishable by death to suggest anything contrary to church diction...torture and death for centuries can be pretty persuasive ...people were NOT ALLOWED to THINK

One of newtons contemporaries dropped a 5 lb and 10 lb weight simultaneously from a balcony to show they fell at the same rate...
The local bishop who had stated 10 pounds falls FASTER than 5...

So the guy was burned at the stake as a heretic....

TRUE STORY....i'll think of his name in a sec....

Believe us or we will torture and kill you turns out to be pretty persuasive if you keep it up for centuries....

But now you are talking about the medival times when the Roman Catholic Church reigned. But Im talking about the time before Constitine. The very first century christians. Who had no New Testament text but believed in Jesus Christ. Why would they die for him if he did not rise from the dead? Why would they believe He had in the first case?
yllacsar46-50, M
Well - seems to be the move towards monotheism was much the result of Aristotles Theory of Causality...which suggests everything has causes, much like the butterfly effect, and hence if you trace them all back you get to ONE innitial cause - what he called The Prime Mover - a pretty damn good proof for God if you ignore some parts of it...

Jesus was NOT the only monotheistic leaning mesiah of the time - there were MANY - Which is why IT is called the Mesianic Era....

Jesus remains the most notable - but many died - were slaughtered in support of the monotheistic idea - but not only for Jesus..
Firechidist26-30, F
Um you havent answered my question. I was talking about the first century christians in particular
