@DocSavage Your accusation is a common one from people who charge that the forgiveness of the Atonement of the LORD Jesus is a license to sin.. There are even a lot of self identifying Christians who make the same accusations..
But to believe Jesus is to agree with His teachings as far as sin goes.. To have atonement one must believe they have done wrong and need to have their sins atoned for.. So people who believe that sins are wrong will not be using the Atonement as a license to sin.. They will naturally seek to avoid sinning as much as they can because they agree with God that sinning is bad..
