"Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest."

[big][c=BF0000]"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”[/c][/big] Jesus words, in The Holy Bible, Matthew 11

The weight of sin is overwhelming and trying to keep the law perfectly is impossible:

18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.
19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. (Romans 7:18, ESV)

But Christ! He delivers us!

24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. (Romans 7:24, ESV)

Those who are in Him can REST ASSURE there is NO CONDEMNATION! :

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1, ESV)

Yes, if Christ truly dwells in us, we WILL BE WITH HIM. :

10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:10, ESV)

Nothing can separate us from Him:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (Romans 8:35, ESV)

Nothing means nothing can separate us from Him, nothing:

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38, ESV)
@Thedoorislocked We are not expected to keep the ‘law’ that was given to the Israelites..But we are commanded by Jesus to keep HIS commandments.

King James Bible
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
St. John 14:15

King James Bible
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luke 6:46
@NoGamesTolerated

Yes we are to be obedient.
Even Paul recognized his own sinfulness that still dwelled in him. He has the desire but inability in himself to carry out:

18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.
19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. (Romans 7:18, ESV)

But Christ! Thank be to Christ! I boast in Him and not in myself.
He delivers us!

29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
31 so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:29, ESV)

@NoGamesTolerated We are to be obedient yes but we do sin, and when we do we feel terribly guilty if we are christians. We don't go to heaven because of our obedience though but because of our faith in what Jesus did, and The Holy Spirit in-dwelling in us! Jesus took ALL our sins on His shoulders.
