@Tinkles We do not have to carry a cross its just a saying to emphasize that we all have burdens. But we do not have to carry our burdens alone.🙂

@Tinkles Well in that context I think he is talking about christian persecution. Its sometimes lonely being a christian.

@Carazaa There’s is some suffering for Christians and the Bible teaches us if we suffer with him, we will reign with him!

Verse 30 seems to be talking something very specific but needs more context as Jesus said following him is not easy and does cost

@Tinkles No he will not give us more than we can handle. I have to say that when I was younger life was harder, and now after I decided to just be obedient to his word life is so great in many ways. I hurt when others hurt though, that is hard for me.

@Carazaa true… every saint of God WILL know suffering! He will go because he has too by the authority given us by Christ….And guess what? He will come back !! Again and again til we draw our last breath.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God does deliver them out of them ALL”… and…

it will be in his timing! Sometimes we have to wait on God.
