Gods order to warn the wicked. [Spirituality & Religion]

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

20 “Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.” Ezekiel 3

What exactly does following Jesus mean ?
As an Atheist, I don’t believe in god. Nor do I believe Jesus actually existed. He’s merely an avatar for the religion. However, I still live by the basic principles of life. I am capable of doing right and wrong , based on my own principles and judgement. I have things I am proud of, and things I regret. How does belief in Jesus change this in any positive way ?
@DocSavage it doesn't unless you believe in it so you dint gave anything to worry about

@DocSavage OK you do that then. This is addressing Godly people who God has assigned to be watchmen. I'd like to follow Jesus wherever he goes. If he tells me to go to Africa I'll do that, or forgive someone who hurt me, or talk to someone scary, or stay married to someone, or stay in a job I hate I'll do that. I will do what he requires for my growth or witness to others.

@DocSavage And how does it help me? Oh my where do I begin. He protects me, he takes good care of me, he gives me wisdom, he guides me in righteousness, he is in my heart and teaches me to love all people, he covers most of my mistakes, he calms me, and he gives me joy and hope.

@Carazaa
I managed to achieve all that without Jesus. The human race is capable of many great things. It’s gone down some dark roads before , but it comes back stronger. Shaming people is not inspiring.

@DocSavage You will realize you need God when you are older. Most of us realize that sooner than later.

You're wrong about that! I know a lot of old people who have now interest in your god at all!

Most people do. There are only 2.2 billion Christians in the world - only 900 million if one excludes Catholics as @Carazaa does.

@Lynda70 Jesus says "[c=BF0000]you can do nothing without me!"[/c]

@Carazaa He's obviously wrong then, I've got on fine without him, just like most people.

@Lynda70 He is helping you because many pray for you!

You can believe that if you like but I know it's rubbish. For a start, your god doesn't exist in reality and according to your bible it doesn't help anyone who doesn't believe in it. Another thing, I wouldn't want it in my life anyway and you've said it doesn't interfere where it's not wanted.

If any god is helping me, it's Odin.
