You do not have to believe, but let me say this, right or wrong I would rather live like there is a God and be wrong then live like there is not and find out there is. It matters not if there are false religions out there, each teaching we must earn our way to heaven and that people were created out of the blood and bones of so-called defeated Gods. God tells us to look and to learn, to examine and think. Nowhere does it say to blindly follow but rather references the blind leading the blind right into the pit. I am going to guess you do not believe in anything past what you can see but I could be wrong. You are wrong that the Bible is a "stupid book" however.

If god tells you to look and learn. Then why do you ignore the sciences that destroy you own fairytales ? Take something easy like “the Flood” every realistic form of research proves it never happen, historical, geological, anthropology , physics all agree on this.
We used the science, get consistent results that lead to only one practical conclusion. Don’t you see the hypocrisy in your own statement ? The evidence is there, it’s solid. We looked, we leaned. The result is clear. And you don’t like it. So now we have to go back to blindly believing the fairytales again. Or what ? We don’t get into heaven.
