It's the first time I have seen this but it does not surprise me.
As with most religions it is the extremists that give a false impression of the religion.
@MrAverage1965 Just read the Qu'ran for yourself.

It isn't long, nor is it hard to understand.

When you are done with that, tell me whether or not the Taliban are more in line with what you read than, say, the typical Muslim driving around Dearborn, Michigan...?

All religions have extremists, but some religions are more extreme by nature.
@MrAverage1965 False Impression?

In our current age, imho, Islam has been highjacked. I think most people, including myself, really do not know the teachings of Mohammed, Blessed be His Name. Christianity has gone down a secular, authoritarian line and it disables ears from hearing the real message of His Holiness, the Christ, Jesus.

I had long ago and for a long time, thought of the "One World Religion" or "NWO" from a Christian view (which is dogmatically against anything apart from it; and that WAS needed AT THAT TIME ). as a bad thing, authoritarian control...

I understand; but it is NOT REALLY THAT WAY as the Baha'i faith and His Blessed Beauty, Baha'u'llah has shared it with the world. We have matured as a society and people somewhat, HOW BAD would it be to have ONE RELIGION and not have the wars and division caused by "reading different scripture"? See baha'i.org or bahai.us for more

The Baha'i faith has a beautiful, non clergy, non authoritarian solution: See each other and ourselves as ONE...flowers of the same garden, waves of one sea, leaves of one tree.

A song by Dan Seals (Baha'i), of the group England Dan and John Ford Coley, brother to Jim Seals of Seals and Crofts.

The teachings of the husband of Khadija are actually quite accessible; the Qu'ran is neither long nor complex, and the Muslim calendar is established by an event which tells much of what that belief system is about.

Though the four Gospels of tge New Testament are short abd easy to read, many Christians are misled by teachers who ignore the "Good News" and instead obsess about the Old Testament.

If you want to follow the teachings of the Baháʼí faith and think Baháʼu'lláh realizes a second coming of the Christ or whatever, you are welcome to do so, but different religions make different claims about ultimate reality, ultimate Truth, etc.; they are not interchangeable and do not cover the same territory, make the same or equivalent representations, nor offer the same (or any!) path forward.

Getting BACK to the original post; the NON-Muslim minority; would be the Christians or Jews or Baha'is in the region. Why are they persecuted in Iran; going against the teachings of Mohammed, Blessed be His Name. That really is a beautiful sentiment but is this being OBEYED by Muslims today??? Thank you for posting it; I wanted to "get back to the beginning" and not just show myself to "be one of the non-Muslim minority: as Baha'i, some see themselves not only as Christians or Jews or Muslims, or associate and love the Manifestation of God (Prophet) and his teachings but also ALL of the religions; loving all no matter to which religion they may adhere.

Thank you kindly. I have a "good" copy of the Qu'ran...also my KJV Bible in French and my Praise and Worship Version. I find the writings and prayers of Baha'u'llah, Abdul-Baha and the Bab to be most pleasant and LOVING toward all Humanity. I believe in a "progressive revelation", not over lap but pick up and teach humanity where it is now more mature to accept the teachings of a new Manifestation of God. Namaste.
