Paleontologists find that some dinosaurs died in a" flood" yeah, and then they dried, so again the Bible is scientifically correct, there was a flood! [Spirituality & Religion]

@Carazaa the right asteroid can do a great deal of damage. There are plenty of asteroids out there that could put an end to us as well. Like I said, I don't trust paleontologists either, but the idea that an asteroid extinguished a group of reptiles like the dinosaur is plausible.

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Don't make me laugh😂

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Why would you not trust paleontologists?
@windinhishair I think they got an axe to grind. Also, the science does not experience the objective rigours to keep it honest, like, say, computer science does by the markets

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Why would someone studying the Early Mesozoic have an axe to grind? Or the Late Cambrian? Fossil findings and their interpretations are subject to the same scrutiny as any area of science.
@windinhishair Except it isn't. Let's say someone in the field of computer science or electromagnetics gets tenure, maybe a peerage, writes a book that strikes a cord with a few key people in the community. Then he sets himself up as a guru and all the academics follow him and won't listen to any dissent. The natural selection that is the market place will quickly decide the quality of his theories. Not every branch of science experiences the correction of such oversight.

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP The same thing happens in paleontology and most branches of science. Unless you know something specific about paleontology that no one else does. And it isn't the market that acts as a corrective force. It is other people engaged in that academic pursuit.

@windinhishair But scientists are highly influenced by funding sources🙂
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Carazaa Not as much as you think. And much of the results is subject to peer review by people who have no connection to funding sources. Paleontology is less subject to those factors than other branches.

@windinhishair More than you think!
