There will always be some people who believe in God and others who don't. Why can't the lot of them agree to differ and then say no more about it?

@HairbrushDiva Happy to do so (very happy!)... until they push their self-serving agenda onto society

@newjaninev2 Just ignore them.

@HairbrushDiva Happy to, until (as I said) they push their self-serving agenda onto society

@newjaninev2 If everybody ignored them I'm sure they would stop.
@newjaninev2 That's it and that's all there is to it.

@fernie2 No, they will persist in trying to insinuate their delusions into whichever society is around them (it was a key feature of the European colonisation strategy).

Most disturbing is their predilection for children. Here in New Zealand we have made good progress in driving them from classrooms, and by the end of this year we should have them firmly locked out. Nevertheless, they come at our children in new and inventive ways, seeking malleable, uncritical minds to infect. It’s quite disgusting.
@newjaninev2 It's a serious, dangerous, insane cult. I'm delighted to know you are locking them OUT!

That's good to hear. It would be nice to do the same here in the UK. The problem here is that the church has its own, unelected, representatives in parliament who would veto any such attempt. UK schools are legally required to hold daily, "broadly christian" religious assemblies and to teach religion which, as local churches have some influence over the curriculum, often amounts to christian indoctrination. Parents have a legal right to exempt their children from either or both but that right is not widely known and christian headteachers have been known to deny it even exists.
