More accurate would be like someone taking a person hostage and blaming the victim if they shoot the hostage for not complying with their arbitrary demands.

In no context is that loving. That is the definition of abusive.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow You do not come close to understanding Gods standards. He wants us to love our enemies and pray for those who despitefully use us. Jesus says that if you say "you fool" to someone it is the same as murdering them in your heart . We are doomed without Jesus forgiveness. I love him and will follow him. He hears my prayers and helps me.!

@Carazaa Seems a bit arrogant to suggest you understand a god's motives so that cuts both ways.

That seems funny to me because I see very little love from this god or his followers for that matter.
