"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see me bless you! [Spirituality & Religion]
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. Malachi 3:10

@kodiac GOD does not care about money. He cares about your heart. For so many their heart lays upon their wealth, and they become dependent on their wealth, or have faith in that alone. The act of giving your first 10% of your earnings is abiding to the commands of the Bible and you showing that your faith is in GOD alone.
I was always resistant to this concept, because I thought it was the Church just trying to get wealthy off of me.
When I was just coming out of homelessness, and living in transitional housing, I found $20.00 and tithed $4.oo to the Church, this was a huge sacrifice for me, since the $20.00 was the only money I had to my name. Quick math: pack of smokes $6.00(I smoked back then) now I have $10.00 for food to last me for how long..? Well, I gave the funds freely, and I am not kidding Kodi, opportunities and favour soon followed and I was making money (legally) ☺️, and earning my own self worth and I have never stopped Tithing since and every year I am in awe by all the Miracles GOD has placed over me.
I promise you, trust in HIM and just watch what HE Will do in your life.
@Iwillwait Thank you! That is so true. The miracles that I have seen after I give. But they usually take a few days to arrive. Some times its immediate but usually a few weeks. Is that your experience too?
@Iwillwait I do keep track of my tithing and the blessings after. They use to be a while but now its almost immediate or just a few days. I get blessed when I need the money and so it increases my faith slowly but surely. Its like God wants me to see if I will lose hope at times. But I know he will come through so I don't doubt. I think when we are obedient our faith is increased.
@kodiac I promise you Kodiac if you trust Jesus and put him first in everything. If you are obedient you will be successful and God WILL bless you. I promise! We have nothing to lose following Jesus. Well if we lose a friendship, or a job, its ok. God will replace it with something better I promise. But Jesus doesn't want a halfass job, sorry for that but he wants your entire life, and he will bless you like you wont believe.
@Carazaa I have no accounting until the end of the year, when I get my statement from the Church, I know it's always minimum of 10+ %, I personally don't measure or track my blessings to Tithing. I am not sure there's a direct correlation between (times or #'s) of Tithing to my blessings. What I do know is as a whole, I am blessed beyond all measure and I still have seasons that appears Barron, however my faithfulness will continue.
I feel that GOD does test us to see where our hearts lie, with a gift of free will, I think we will always be tested to see where we are in our dependence on GOD.
@kodiac We get nothing but trouble if we do not have faith! Jesus said "You of little faith" to the apostles when they said why cant we cast out demons but you can?
