I'll never understand the preoccupation with the end of the world among some religious people. I understand that if one's life is in turmoil, it may be comforting to know that all of this is going away soon. But Christian life isn't preoccupation with arcane calculations and predictions and paranoia, it's living as God would have you live so that you are prepared for the next life and judgment. Many have predicted the end of the world and been mistaken. Many have ignored those around them in their zeal for the coming end. And many disguise personal politics and frustrations with religious certainty.

@SW-User Well Jesus explains it in the Bible, that we who love him will anxiously look for his coming, and that day will [i]not[/i] come like a thief to us. Encourage each other with these words he says.
