@thomaso He cares because He knows sin separates us from God the Father, until they are forgiven, and they're nothing petty to God, who made us, and doesn't want anyone to miss out on heaven. So in this case, it's a serious matter to Him because He loves us and wants the best outcome for us. And being He died on the cross to save us from the consequences sin brings on us, that shows just how big and serious this is to Him. It was a big enough deal to Him, in order for Him to go to that extent to save us.
