If God created everything perfect then why does everything change?
That would mean everything is in transition from perfect to "more perfect" or from perfection to imperfection.
Carazaa · F
@Entwistle Our world is cursed because of our sinning and we are in birthpangs now and it will increase in intensity and frequency until Jesus comes (probably any day). No generation has seen ALL the signs at the same time globally besides our generation. Jesus said THIS generation who sees ALL this will see me return.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa That's no answer to what i asked.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
She's saying the world ceased being perfect after "original sin".
Carazaa · F
@JohnnySpot Yes, thank you!
Carazaa · F
@Entwistle I thought you asked why the world is not perfect when God made it perfect. So that's why!

@Entwistle
That would mean everything is in transition from perfect to "more perfect" or from perfection to imperfection.
God created everything perfect but man messed things over by disobeying God in the garden of Eden.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@GodSpeed63 Then he didn't make them perfect if they had the capacity to mess things up.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa So you say God made it perfect,Well he obviously didn't if it's now flawed.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@JohnnySpot Then it was never perfect in the first place. Something can't be perfect if it had the capacity to become imperfect.

@Entwistle
Then he didn't make them perfect
Exactly! 👍 The "perfect plan" of their "almighty god" was screwed up by a woman and a talking snake. They have a very strange definition of "perfect".
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Sharon Apparently God Adam and Eve free will,however he forbade them from eating of the tree of knowledge..so not really free will then.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Entwistle Then that would mean the world is "evolving".. That cant be right....😷
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@Entwistle the definition of perfection in no way implies staying power.
Sharon · F
@Entwistle
however he forbade them from eating of the tree of knowledge.
It was actually "The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil" so, until they ate of it, they couldn't know they were doing anything wrong. Nevertheless, that god thing decide they and their descendants for all eternity deserved to be punished. What sort of evil narcissist low-life does that? :(
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Sharon Good points. I'm glad to say some of the finer details of the "Babble" are finally leaving my mind. I often misquote it..which is fantastic!
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@JohnnySpot But isn't God perfect? So you are saying his perfection doesn't imply he will always remain perfect?
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
Not saying that@Entwistlebut I didn't think of that.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
On the original copy it doesn't say "Perfect", just "good".
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@Entwistle if you lead me astray you'll be in big trouble😉
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Entwistle
Then he didn't make them perfect
Yes, He did make man perfect but He gave him free will, the right to choose between right and wrong.
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63
the right to choose between right and wrong.
But denied them the ability is determine right and wrong. It was Satan who told then how to gain that ability - by eating of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Until then, they had no concept of right and wrong. Maybe your god just didn't have the foresight to see that.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@GodSpeed63 If that's the case he took away their perfection when he gave them free will..the free will to choose unwisely isn't perfection. To make an unwise decision would make one imperfect..surely?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Entwistle
If that's the case he took away their perfection when he gave them free will
Why do you keep trying to blame God for man's stupidity?
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Entwistle The Bible says that in the beginning God declared His creation good.. That is that it was acceptable to Him.. God also declares in the same scriptures people to be righteous.. Neither of these declarations mean that God is declaring people to be perfect / equal to God.. Simply that they are good for purpose or that they are in the right position in regard to his will for them..

Many people mix up words giving them wrong definitions.. That's why some people see the word Righteous and think it means sinless or perfect.. When no human being in the Bible was Perfect..
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@GodSpeed63 Hey according to you God created man therefore God created man's stupidity.
