You know where I stand on this question.

Science can't prove god exists either so all of it is a moot point. There's def. some weird phenomenon in the universe but the real question is if this needs a creator to exist or not. Just labeling everything as God is lazy though not saying it can't be.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@SatanBurger And can't prove the non-existence of God. Science and faith are separate fields; you can believe in God while accepting the reality of the physical world.
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger We know without a doubt that an intelligent mind made the world because it is impossible that it happened out of nothing by chance, its self evident. And we know that it was Jesus because he visited us and proved he is God of the Universe, and many know him personally because the Holy Spirit indwells us.

@Carazaa If something "intelligent" had made the world and decided to build in loose continental shelves causing earthqusakes and tsunamis, it would suggest this "intelligence" is being used in an evil way. There is a video of Stephen Fry, in an interview who said that there is a worm that exists only to eat its way through a child's eye. What sort of evil thing would make something so horrific?

@Carazaa Just because the bible says it's true doesn't mean it's true. I fail to see how I can't pick up any other fiction book and just say "this seems logical to me so must be true." What's the difference from any other book saying it's true? You know people had to write the bible right? Just as any other book.

Here's 700 inconsistencies from the bible:

Also I should be clear, I wasn't making an argument that God does or doesn't exist, I'm just saying it's a moot point. Forces can exist without a god, there could be many explanations. And I won't get into the fact that when you're talking about god, you're talking about your ideal specific sect of Christianity's god and that everything else is just wrong which is already a fallacy
Carazaa · F
@jackieash Do you understand why Jesus had to be tortured??????
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger Stop believing nonsense, and start understanding God!
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa Oh the irony!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa Another point I'll bring up is that there are many sects of Christianity and many versions of the same bible, all who say their god is correct while other sects are wrong. They also each say that they only follow the god of the bible when in fact YOU are all following your sects version of god and then saying it's the god of the bible you're following.

So let's say this science proves god exists, which god and which religion? Who says it would be yours?
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger Forces can exist without a creator? Are you kidding????
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Carazaa You believe your God exists without a creator.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa No I'm not.
Carazaa · F
@Entwistle God is the HOLY SPIRIT
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa But if everything is created then who created spirits for god to be a spirit in the first place?
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger Then you are not very logical, sorry to tell you! But it requires some logic to see that nothing can make nothing!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa You're projecting what you are onto me, it's okay though I'll let it pass since you're feeling insecure.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa Chemical reactions much? Derp.
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger It's pure LOGIC!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa If you yourself didn't have any logic, would you just think you have logic? How would you know if you don't have logic? But sure tell me more about myself 😏
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger Which God? Are you kidding me? The only God that tells you that you are a sinner, and that you have no hope in your deeds. The only one who told us why there is misery in the world. The only one who tells us the ending from the beginning, and the only one who died for the whole world so we can have hope. Thats the only one that gives us hope!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa Right, so which sect of Christianity is your god? And how exactly if we find proof of gods existence it would be your god? Your answer is basically "just because I said so," which doesn't suffice.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@jackieash Or they aren't evil and just incredibly dumb. No one ever considers that just because you create a world doesn't mean you're hyper intelligent over all beings on the planet.

I think a toddler could do it really, they have imaginations too.

I mean he did think the world was flat.
it would suggest this "intelligence" is being used in an evil way.
jackieash · 26-30
@CarazaaI don't see the connection between my comment and your question.
Carazaa · F
@SatanBurger I have told this story a few times but when I was in college my logic professor gave all her classes a natural logic test (not the Venn diagram tests) and out of 500 people only I and one other had "natural" logic. She did not know that I believed in God, it was not discussed. It is self evident that there is a loving God! And yes I get irritated that people who know full well, all atheists know there is a God, but because they are upset that he calls them wretched, miserable, and sinful, they don't like him, and propagate lies!
Carazaa · F
@jackieash Thought not!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Carazaa There are over 20 types of logic, so which one? I tried to look up natural and didn't get anything to what you meant by "natural" logic lmao.
