I believe in them all, Buddhism, Shamanism, Paganism, Christianity, Zoroastriaism, Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, even Astrology... They are all saying the same things, if you look closely enough
Read this please and I think you'll see things more clearly. We never worship God out of fear. There is no fear in perfect love. https://similarworlds.com/2-Community/3683401-Its-time-to-address-the-notion-that-God-sends

Jesus Christ said, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'. There are many paths to destruction and one is following any number of false religions.

Explain why only following Jesus would be painful. He's on your side. He knows you better than anyone, and accepts us just as we are.
Why don't you ever answer me or talk to me when I answer your posts?

@LadyGrace Sorry I didnt realise it

I'm a neo-Gnostic, and Gnosticism is not a well-defined religion. It's highly speculative. Our only dogma is that knowledge, not faith, will lead to salvation.

I believe that the resurrection of Jesus is an important part in discovering who God is.

I believe in God. Other than that, I just don’t know anymore.

A person cannot believe in two contradictory teachings about God and His will..
While a lot of religions have similar main themes the deeper you go into the teachings of different religions the more you will come across teachings that are diametrically opposed.. At that point a person must choose one religion and reject the other..
Believing in two different religions that support tow opposing teachings is living a lie and that is too painful..

@riseofthemachine So being a Christan you could also embrace islam?
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@Adstar that's a different story . I mean non violent religious beliefs
Adstar · 56-60, M
@riseofthemachine
Ok i will quote two non violent beliefs..
One Christian one islamic..
1) Christian belief.. The LORD Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of all whom would believe Him and trust in the Atonement He secured on that cross..
2) islamic belief.. Jesus did not die on the cross but was saved by allah and taken to paradise and another man, made to look like Jesus was put in his place on the cross.
So both teachings do not promote violence but both a diametrically opposed. Only one can be truth not both one Must be a Lie.. So can one embrace both these non-violent teachings from two different religions?
My point is that it does not matter if the teachings are violent of not.. Two opposing teachings cannot be both embraced at the same time..

I think they are all connected.
But above all, I recognize and feel what's good and what's evil -- no library of books can make me change my mind.

I’m not personally religious at all anymore. I support the religious rights of others—as long as they’re not using their beliefs to oppress others or restrict their rights.

I don't follow any particular religion but if i did i would probably lean towards the ones that are run by women and focus on the environment.
kodiac · 22-25, M
I believe in a god.That has nothing to do with religion . I believe religion is the root of all evil
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@kodiac in what way ?
kodiac · 22-25, M
@riseofthemachine How many people have died in the name of religion? How many wars? How many are being mislead and taken advantage of?
Atlotto · M
I'm not very religious, but I do believe there is a superior being.
