@TexChik Do you understand the difference between science (knowledge about the phenomena of the universe) and technology (human application of that knowledge)?
@TexChik Everything you mentioned is political. Science is a method to learn about the physical world. It can’t tell you what laws to pass but it can provide information to help make a decision.
@newjaninev2 You have told us what you think politically and believing in a liberal democracy is not it! You and John Locke would not agree on almost anything. Liberal means free and you prefer your politics controlling. The politics of Trump is much more liberal than the politics of Biden.
@thedarkside I don't think there will be a civil war, although there could be stochastic violence as we've already seen from a few Trump supporters. Keep in mind that once Biden is in power, the Republican leadership will have a lot more invested in maintaining the current system than in overthrowing it. It's more likely that Trump's most fervent supporters will become frustrated with the Republican party, and will break off to form their own "Trumpist" party. Trump himself could make this happen very easily if he wanted to.
@GodSpeed63 Gotta love the old corsair. Did you know it was the Brits who discovered how to land one on an aircraft carrier. The cockpit is so far back the pilot can not see the runway as he gets close to the carrier and rotates to land. The solution was to curve into the landing and only straighten out as he comes over the threshold.
@GodSpeed63 I am pointing out that one should look for evidence and base your idea on evidence not on feelings. It is possible to imagine the aircraft going toward or away from the camera. What is the evidence? Much the same with Christianity. The evidence is completely indicating toward God Creating not some silly idea that all this is just naturally occurring.
