So if Creationism is so true, how do you account for creatures like the Woolly Mammoth existing up to 5 Million years ago? Means the Earth existed 5 Million years ago, no? Carbon dating is scientific fact, not religious propaganda!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer Can you be sure of the dating?
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 No but to be honest, I put a lot more belief in carbon dating than some story from a book. That some dinosaurs were carnivorous is a fact, so if dinosaurs existed at the same time as Man, how come no human remains have ever been found in the remains of carnivorous dinosaurs or vice-versa??? Prehistoric Man would have been easy prey for T-Rex or do you deny their existence too?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer Why do you put such faith in carbon dating?

@hippyjoe1955 Why do you put such faith in stories from a book?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@spjennifer Carbon dating doesn't work for things that are millions years old - it's only good up to 50,000 years back or so.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer I met the Author.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@QuixoticSoul That still blows away the myth of Creationism at 7000 years ago as the above video states though, doesn't it?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer Why do you think that? Do you trust carbon dating?
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 Sure you did, so you're now capable of time travel but you don't trust carbon dating? Did this "Author" take you up in his "flaming chariot" too?
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 To a certain extent, yes, I also trust geology and archeology and they all say that the story of the great floods of the story of Noah are exactly that, a story.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer The Author is Eternal. No He did not take me up in a Chariot. He came to me while I knelt at a little white rock in the middle of a patch of open prairie. No one else was there when suddenly He made Himself known to me. I take it you have never met Him. Too Bad. He is Wonderful beyond understanding.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 Were there mushrooms involved in your meeting him?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer So you trust some tales written in a book. Hmmmm
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer I have never used drugs. My alcohol consumption is pretty much limited to communion wine. I was very sober after a long day of work. I decided to go for a walk. Along the way I felt the need to kneel by this little white rock. Me an atheist at the time, met the Lord of Life.

@hippyjoe1955
So you trust some tales written in a book. Hmmmm
Umm, where exactly did I say that? I said I trust geology and archeology more than stories from a book...
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer Where did you hear about carbon dating and its accuracy if not from a book?
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 Good for you, and if that's what you believe I have no issue with that aside from some very valid skepticism. I believe differently than you do, so why is that so wrong?
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 From actually seeing it being done, not from some story in a book.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer And you know the results are accurate because of what you read in a book. You have never done the actual analysis regarding the dating. You have used a machine that spit out a number. Can you verify the number as being accurate without resorting to a book? No.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 And you make my point for me, can you verify the existence of Noah or the story of Creationism being accurate from a book? No.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer So you want to believe tall tales from a book because it has the veneer of 'science' on it even though you can not prove it but want to attack my faith which BTW I have not fully explained. Too Funny!!
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 You know what I find truly amazing is people like you who use the Internet on a daily basis, use electricity to cook and refrigerate their food, drive a car, talk on the phone, yet you always dispute science when it comes to promulgating your religious beliefs. Science is what created the technology you use on a daily basis, it's not magic or smoke and mirrors as you try and state. That's where you're wrong, I didn't "attack your faith", I simply dispute what you consider to be facts, same as you do to me, funny isn't it? Tbh I don't want to have your faith "explained" to me. You believe what you believe, as do I, we'll agree to disagree.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer Right back at you. What amazes me is the small minds like yours who are completely blind to what is beyond their tiny understanding of reality. It is almost like you are missing something. I talk to world class astronomers and bio chemists and folks doing cutting edge research in nanotechnology and they understand the world and the universe as I understand it. Full of awe and wonder at what the Great I AM has wrought and then I compare that to someone like you who thinks they understand the decay of carbon 14 without knowing the original mix of carbon 14.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@spjennifer I use the analogy of describing a rainbow to a person born blind. They can't see it and no matter how well I explain it they can simply laugh at the words I speak because they have never experienced it. Very strange phenomena.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@hippyjoe1955 So do all these great scientific minds you talk to agree with the OP that "True Science Confirms The Account Of Noah's Ark In The Word Of God" Because I work with some pretty great scientific minds on a daily basis and they do dispute it...
