Asserting that one can come to God through the experience of nature. Which would be God’s creation.

That is a pagan heresy evidently.

Ironically, while they are doing that— they’re also arguing, in other places, that creation proves the existence of God.

I can’t see how you can not see there is a contradiction between the two positions. I have a car which proves there is the designer but I do not say the car is an end in itself.
Nature gives us many signs of the existence of God, as the Bibleitself says, We do not worship God through nature
