@Carazaa People usually get married at an early age, usually before their personas have fully developed. Eventually they discover their outlooks on life differ, hence the irreconcilable differences.

This has got nothing to do with God or religious beliefs.

Sorry, not denigrating your belief system, just stating some scientific facts. But if you want it your way, you can say that God built us this way, and we're simply doing what he built us for.

@Carazaa Actually G-d's instructions say that if a man gives his wife a Get, or bill of divorcement she is free to remarry (Deuteronomy ch.24). So either Jesus got it wrong, or someone mistranslated this passage, accidentally or otherwise.

I am not making a religious judgment, but religion and "sanctity of marriage" have been used all along, to legitimize spousal abuse, willingly or not.

@Northwest separation is not divorce!
