As it was in the days of Noah [Spirituality & Religion]

A Christian lady asked God to give her a dream about how it will be at the end of the age.
That night she dreamed she was in a nice restaurant having a lovely meal and outside there was a lot of noise, she went out to see what was going on and to her horror bombs were going off and the foundations of the restaurant had been hit and would soon fall down.
She went inside and warned everyone what was happening and warned them to get out to a place of safety but most ignored her and said it was only thunder, some even became abusive
In Noah's day people were living their normal lives and Noah pleaded with them to come to a place of safety and they ignored him and thought he was joking.
We need to turn to Jesus, a place of safety before it's too late!

Why would a Christian need a dream since that was already written in scripture?

To experience what Noah experienced at the time of flood in his day.

@GodSpeed63 A dream isn't an experience, it's just a dream.

Jeremiah 23:28
King James Version
28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.

@JoePourMan God speaks through dreams and visions, as long as they are in line with scripture, and this certainly was!

@TheWildEcho not according to scripture
Hebrews 1
King James Version
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

@JoePourMan well I'm glad He speaks to us !!

@JoePourMan God gives dreams to His people.. And sometimes He gives dreams to unbelievers..

Acts 2: KJV
17 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:"

I have experienced these dreams.. Often it is educational making one understand scripture that they read but did not get the right idea about..

@Adstar Of course you know that Peter was quoting the prophet Joel, and stating that prophecy was fulfilled on that day of Pentecost
Adstar · 56-60, M
@JoePourMan Did they dream dreams from God on the day of Pentecost ?

Nope..

The prophecy was for the ""Last Days"" just because they experienced some of the signs back on that day of Pentecost does not mean it was a completed fulfillment of the prophecy..

@Adstar you can trust the dreams, I'll trust the Word
Adstar · 56-60, M
@JoePourMan I trust the Word of God.. And the Word of God can and does send dreams to help His people understand things..

@Adstar the problem is I can't verify the dream that someone has. There are many many false prophets as Ezekiel pointed out:
"Her prophets plastered them with untempered mortar, seeing false visions, and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,’ when the LORD had not spoken."

@JoePourMan I have at my foundation the Word of God.. If a dream delivers a message in conflict with the Word of God then it is to be rejected.. I do not concern myself overly with other peoples dreams.. I take them with a gain of salt.. I will have a listen to other people dreams.. But i do not place my faith in them 100%..

I am more concerned with paying attention to the dreams i have.. And testing them against the scriptures..
