How close is the end of the world? [Spirituality & Religion]

A lot closer than you might think. Just because 2000 years have passed since Jesus’ prophecy, do not allow that to lull us into a false sense of complacency. Jesus told us that although his coming would be like a thief in the night (Matthew 24:43), there are several signs to look for. These signs are being fulfilled, right before our very eyes. The end of the world is a lot closer than we think.

Though NONE OF US know when the end shall come, Jesus said when we see certain times (signs) around us, we'll KNOW the end is near. This is NOT meant to scare anyone, but rather to help you see that just as we would prepare for a tsunami, when we see the "signs", that tells us it's time to make preparation, before that time of the Lord actually happens. That's only common sense. And we can't claim we didn't know. The good news is, we can all prepare for it. Not one of us, has to miss heaven. I'll list a few signs:

End Time Sign #1 - ABILITY TO ENFORCE THE MARK

Revelation 13:17 ...'And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.'

Now this is a sign that most people miss. Think about it ... What needs to happen in order for the "beast system" to stop people from buying and selling, if they refuse the mark? We need to have a worldwide financial system whereby everything bought and sold is through electronic means, not cash.

Has there been any time in history where this could happen? No. Are WE living in a day where this could happen? Most certainly, yes. And the powers of this world are now trying to make cash obsolete, and are actively pushing pure electronic forms of payment, like "PayPal" and "Google Wallet" for instance. Take a look at the news and you will see this being reported in different countries of the world:

Sweden close to being a Cashless Society

Cash is Dead, are Credit Cards Next?

Nigeria Deploying Biometric Technology Throughout the Banking System

Mastercard Tracking Global Economies Heading for Cashless Societies

Israel Leaders Pushing for a Cashless Society

UN World Food Program Pushing Smart Cards and Digital Payment

Cashless Society Drive Gaining Momentum in Rwanda

Above are just a few examples of the major push throughout the world for a cashless society. We have the techonology to do this now, which in times past, wasn't possible. And look at the financial turmoil around the world today. This will help in bringing in a "unified" currency to help make it possible to enforce the mark of the beast. Technology isn't the mark, but technology is needed for proper enforcement of it. This is a sure sign of the end times. What do you think those chips are, they're trying to push on us? They're not for "convenience." You'll soon find out, it won't be long, until you won't be able to buy groceries, without having that CHIP implanted in your hand or forehead. That's bible prophecy, in Revelations.

Sign #2 - The telling of Noah, in the Bible, was not just a cute little story. It tells us much about today. Just as today, God had told that generation of people to repent of their sins and evil ways while they still can. They were given this warning for hundreds of years. Plenty of time to repent. However, when Noah and Lot warned people of God's coming judgment and destruction, they would not listen. Instead, they treated Noah and Lot as "extremists" and laughed, calling them crazy. But they didn't laugh for long. The destruction that DID come, found the people unprepared. Just as it will be when Jesus Christ returns. As in the days of Noah and Lot, the soon return of our Lord Jesus will be a snare to the people who do not heed the warning and surrender their lives to Him, who knows all. (Luke 17:26-30) The mocking and laughing at God, like they do today, shall come to an end, just as predicted.

Sign #3 - The Moon Never Turned Red, Till Now

You've probably witnessed the Blood Moon, mentioned in the Bible. The blood moon prophecy surrounds a tetrad, a series of four consecutive lunar eclipses. The prophecy states that a tetrad coinciding on Jewish holidays with six full moons in between and no intervening partial lunar eclipses is a sign of the beginning of the end of times.

Acts 2:20 - " The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls upon Jesus for forgiveness of sins, shall be saved."

The list goes on and on. The rise of immorality and violence, the increased persecution of Christians, nature more violent than ever before, etc. Too many to list here. So that is why Jesus said, "The fool says in his heart, there IS no God." However, regardless of unbelief, God's plans shall be fulfilled. He will not be mocked.

Jesus also said in 2 Corinthians 6:2:  "Behold! (meaning, listen carefully), now is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation."

We never know what tomorrow holds for us, so Jesus is telling us He doesn't want us to miss heaven. It is Jesus that did the hard part for us, when he paid for our sins on the cross. Sin separates us from God, until we come to Jesus, God's Son and our Mediator, and allow Him to forgive us and wash away our sins. Then we're fit for heaven. That's all it takes on your part. Your willingness to have your sins forgiven. The assurance of heaven is yours by the saving grace of Jesus, which is His free gift of salvation, for the asking. He's only delayed His return, because He's not willing that any perish. Still...according to the signs, that time is drawing nearer than you think, and just as it was in Noah's day...that door of opportunity shall close.

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,[b] but the Father only.
@bookerdana That's what I mentioned in my article. Not verbatim, but... yeh, I like that verse. Thanks.

@LadyGrace St Thomas Aquinas, who was playing chess at the time, was asked what he would do if the end of the world were to be that night.(?)

He said ,"I'd finish playing my game.......
@bookerdana 😂 Yep. Either he didn't take that too seriously or he was secure in his faith. Sounds like the latter, assuming he was a believer. The bible defines all who come to saving grace in Jesus, as "saints". However, some are phonies, but God knows their heart.
@bookerdana I added to my reply.

@LadyGrace He thought it was the right thing to do...
There used to be a television preacher on around here and every then current event was yet another sign the end was nigh😨

Until he was caught exiting a flea bag motel with his secretary....that was the end of him......he wasn't doing the right thing, obviously😈
@bookerdana Oh wow. Not a saint, obviously. "Ye shall know them by their fruits."

@LadyGrace The Saint kind of shows where I stand on Aquinas..oh

St. Thomas Aquinas Biography

(1226-1274)

St. Thomas Aquinas, priest and doctor of the Church, patron of all universities and of students. His feast day is January 28th. He was born toward the end of the year 1226. He was the son of Landulph, Count of Aquino, who, when St. Thomas was five years old, placed him under the care of the Benedictines of Monte Casino. His teachers were surprised at the progress he made, for he surpassed all his fellow pupils in learning as well as in the practice of virtue.

When he became of age to choose his state of life, St. Thomas renounced the things of this world and resolved to enter the Order of St. Dominic in spite of the opposition of his family. In 1243, at the age of seventeen, he joined the Dominicans of Naples. Some members of his family resorted to all manner of means over a two year period to break his constancy. They even went so far as to send an impure woman to tempt him. But all their efforts were in vain and St. Thomas persevered in his vocation. As a reward for his fidelity, God conferred upon him the gift of perfect chastity, which has merited for him the title of the "Angelic Doctor".

After making his profession at Naples, he studied at Cologne under the celebrated St. Albert the Great. Here he was nicknamed the "dumb ox" because of his silent ways and huge size, but he was really a brilliant student. At the age of twenty-two, he was appointed to teach in the same city. At the same time, he also began to publish his first works. After four years he was sent to Paris. The saint was then a priest. At the age of thirty-one, he received his doctorate.

At Paris he was honored with the friendship of the King, St. Louis, with whom he frequently dined. In 1261, Urban IV called him to Rome where he was appointed to teach, but he positively declined to accept any ecclesiastical dignity. St. Thomas not only wrote (his writings filled twenty hefty tomes characterized by brilliance of thought and lucidity of language), but he preached often and with greatest fruit. Clement IV offered him the archbishopric of Naples which he also refused. He left the great monument of his learning, the "Summa Theologica", unfinished, for on his way to the second Council of Lyons, ordered there by Gregory X, he fell sick and died at the Cistercian monastery of Fossa Nuova in 1274.

St. Thomas was one of the greatest and most influential theologians of all time. He was canonized in 1323 and declared Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius V.

@bookerdana I'm sorry to say this, but I'm not the least impressed with this guy. I do not believe in his ways. The bible tells us not to worship or pray to the Saints (any believer in Christ) or to statues. It's the 2nd Commandment.
bookerdana · M
@LadyGrace No one prays to statues or saints..period
@bookerdana I know this one lady did. Plus, she prayed to Mary. Course, that's not everyone.

@bookerdana I looked but didn't see much. What is it you're wanting me to know?

@LadyGrace watch the video......its clearer...shes a person who converted to Catholiicism
@bookerdana I strictly go by what Jesus says, not what man says, and here's the difference, although I'll look at the video out of respect to you.

In Roman Catholic theology, the saints are in heaven. In the Bible, the saints are on earth and some in heaven. . In Roman Catholic teaching, a person does not become a saint unless he/she is “beatified” or “canonized” by the Pope or prominent bishop. In the Bible, everyone who has received Jesus Christ by faith, is a saint. In Roman Catholic practice, the saints are revered, prayed to, and in some instances, worshiped. In the Bible, saints are called to revere, worship, and pray to God alone.

If things don't match up with the bible, God says don't believe it.
@bookerdana What happened to the video?? It disappeared.
bookerdana · M
@LadyGrace Can I ask you to pray for me? Catholics just ask the Saints
bookerdana · M
@LadyGrace I'm listening to it now so,again

@bookerdana I found the video back. I would be happy to pray for you, but you can also pray to God yourself. He wants you to. The Bible says Jesus is our only Mediator between God and man. Not the priest, not the Pope, not Buddha, not Mary, not anyone but Jesus. You can go to God in prayer, in the name of Jesus. Priests were obsolete, after Jesus became our High Priest and His blood shed for our sins, once and for all. It's in the bible. The Priest can't forgive anyone's sins. He has sin, himself! But Jesus can. He is sinless. He died so we could have access to the Father, through Him.
@bookerdana Yep. If this video causes confusion, it did not from God, because Satan is the author of confusion. Test it out. See if what he says, matches up with the Word of God. The priests can no more forgive our sins than the Man in the Moon. He is just a plain man and has sin in him, his self. He is not Jesus. Jesus said if you want a mediator to God, he's the only one. Will we believe Jesus Or someone else?
@bookerdana Wait a minute. That lady does not speak the truth. This is false teaching. Christian's have never said it's wrong to pray FOR other Christians. It's wrong to pray TO other saints (Christians). This lady is all over the place. I've never heard such twisted theology.
@bookerdana
watch the video......its clearer...shes a person who converted to Catholiicism

Well then, somebody's been teaching her false doctrine and she believed it.,that's why it's so important to know not only what you believe, but why. If you want to know the real truth, go straight to the Bible and read it. God will not lead you astray.
@bookerdana Don't fall for this. It doesn't match up with God's Word and will only cause confusion, which the devil wants.
Joshagibby · 26-30, M
@bookerdana I expect within just 2 years that this will happen. The Bible oddly enough doesn't say anything about not knowing which year it will end up unfolding.
bookerdana · M
@Joshagibby The bible says no man knows the time when Jesus will come back. Only our Father in Heaven. However, according to prophecy, the timeline appears to be closer than ever before. I gave the bible's reasons, why our time is short, in my article here.
