People persecute people all over the planet pretty much all of the time...always have and always will.
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Yes but most people persecuted today are Christians@Pinkstarburst

@Pinkstarburst who is persecuting who now?
Speedyman · 70-79, M
You obviously have had one of these daft history teachers who teaches things from a skewed perspective. As I have visited these countries I know there is a balance about colonisation but also I know that Christian missions brought education and medicine to the people. The problem is that the sort of education you have had missed these bits out@jackieash
@Speedyman How is it "obvious"? What happened is that they forced the people in their own countries to accept "christianity", or they would not get the "education" and "medicine". The problem is that when you were educated was so highly selective, it concentrated on how the white man "saved" so many countries from their "savage" beliefs...while at the same time looting their natural resources. It looks like your teachers had a skwewed perspective, themselves.

Can you say what countries were forced to accept Christianity? You use these terms but what examples? Of course you are totally wrong about the missions because they were given whether they excepted Christianity or not. The thing is you are totally misinformed. It wasn’t Christian missions who looted the country it was the colonising governments. The problem is that people like you cannot seem to make a new distinction because of the way you’ve been taught@jackieash

All the countries you mention in Asia and Africa. Of course there were some horrendous things done by colonisers but the Christian missionaries were there to try and help these people. Your history is very ill informed I’m afraid because you’re lumping everybody together and has people do today@jackieash
I did not mention any specific countries in Asia, Africa and in the South Pacific area. How do you know which ones I'm referring to?
