Nobody says anything came from “nothing.” It’s theists who refuse to say where God came from or how he came up with his designs. So it’s theists who say something came from nothing.

If you knew anything you would know that God is eternal so has neither beginning or end. As to how he came up with his designs, if I could understand the eternal, omnipotent God with my 30lb brain then he wouldn’t really be worth worshipping.
Of course as an atheist you have to say something came from nothing because we know the universe had a beginning and therefore before the beginning there was nothing@LeopoldBloom

If you'd been attention instead of day dreaming, you'd realize that we've been giving testimonies that God was always here, He still is here, and He'll always be here. We also gave testimony that He spoke all creation into existence. Next time, pay attention, you might learn something.

@Speedyman I'm not going to get involved in this debate, but I will note that evolution and the big bang are not the same thing. The big bang is a model describing the beginning of the universe whereas evolution is how organisms change over time which has been observed in creatures even recently. For example, certain species of birds changing colour over the years and new breeds of dogs due to breeding.
I'm a psychology student and I study evolution as it applies to psychology.

@Speedyman You're engaging in the ipse dixit fallacy. You can't just say "God is eternal," you have to prove it. I could just as easily say "God isn't eternal" with the same authority you have.
Speedyman · 70-79, M
You’re imagining things you know nothing about. I’ve course I don’t have to prove that God is eternal because he is. I do not have to prove things about my creator. You have to prove that he is not eternal. The emphasis is on the atheist to prove that God is not there when commonsense tells us he is. That atheism and commonsense never did go together@LeopoldBloom

@Speedyman You're another one who's just repeating your indoctrination. I've asked several questions that you refuse to answer. It's just boasting and insults with you.
If you don't believe the Tooth Fairy exists, then you should have to prove that. Since you can't do that, I can only conclude that you must believe in the Tooth Fairy. Those coins must come from somewhere.

Unfortunately you have not even got the sense to ask one decent question. God does not need to prove anything to you because he has the universe which testify of his existence. Anyone looking at the fine tuning and the design of the universe has to admit there is a God if they have any sense. That is why the Bible tells us that only falls saying their heart there is no God. It goes against any grain of sense to say there is no God. that is why in any discussion on the Burden of proof lies with the atheist. The problem is the atheist is so wrapped up in small-minded, natural thinking that they cannot see it@LeopoldBloom

@Speedyman If you actually gave a shit about converting me, instead of just coming on here to try to impress everyone how much smarter you are, you would answer questions instead of insulting people. It shouldn't matter if a question is "decent."

It was you who brought up the tooth fairy, my friend! I don’t know why belief in the omnipotent omniscient God should equate with belief in the tooth fairy in your mind. Enlighten me@LeopoldBloom

It's not up to us to convert you, it's up to you and Yahweh. All we're doing is sharing our faith in Him.
