Jesus is coming, and SHE is mad!

@LeopoldBloom
and SHE is mad!
How do we know that you're not a SHE? After all you're first name is Hazel.
@GodSpeed63 Aww, that's sweet, but I'm not going to send you a dick pick. But show me Jesus' penis and I'll decide for myself what gender he or she was.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
I'm not going to send you a dick pick.
Neither am I. Yahweh's Word is good enough.
@GodSpeed63 Really? What would that be? I'm right here, Yahweh can talk to me whenever he or she wants.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
Yahweh can talk to me
He's been talking to you, you just haven't been listening.
@GodSpeed63 Then Yahweh's just going to have to do a better job. S/he's supposed to be the smart one.
@GodSpeed63 I mean, I don't hear Yahweh - just you.

Why does Yahweh keep sending the most arrogant, bigoted, sanctimonious jackasses to represent him?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
Then Yahweh's just going to have to do a better job.
No, it's you that has to do a better job.
I mean, I don't hear Yahweh - just you.
Then, become born again like so many of us and be filled with His Spirit of Truth.
@GodSpeed63 Why would I do that? Your "religion" is absurd, illogical, and incoherent, and many of its followers, like you, are moral degenerates.

It's impossible to force yourself to believe in something, by the way. If you disagree, prove it by choosing to not believe in God for the next five minutes. If you're unable to do that, it's a bit arrogant for you to order me to do something you're unwilling or unable to do yourself.

@LeopoldBloom
Why would I do that? Your "religion" is absurd, illogical, and incoherent, and many of its followers, like you, are moral degenerates.
Religion has nothing to do with you becoming born again and being transformed into the man that Yahweh created you to be from the very beginning. I didn't become a born again believer through religion but through my choice alone when I discovered it to be true.
@GodSpeed63 If you can choose to believe, you can choose to not believe. The fact that you can't proves that belief is not a choice at all.

No theist has ever been able to respond coherently to this:

An omnicient God would know what proof I need to believe in him.
An omnipotent God would be capable of supplying that proof.
A benevolent God would want to supply it.

So the fact that hasn't happened yet means that God either doesn't exist, or isn't omnicient, omnipotent, or benevolent.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
The fact that you can't proves that belief is not a choice at all.
There's where you're wrong. You'll always have the right to choose and no one has the right to take that from you.
@GodSpeed63 So show me. Choose to not believe in God for the next five minutes. If you have free will in this area, you should be able to do that. If you can't, it's unreasonable for you to demand that I do something you're incapable of doing yourself.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
So show me. Choose to not believe in God for the next five minutes.
I can choose that if I wanted but why should I go back to believing in a lie when the Truth has me? I choose not to believe the lie of men. I choose to believe in the Truth of God.

@LeopoldBloom But you can repent your sins! And you can turn from them! But you don’t want to!
@Carazaa I can do that with any religion, not just Christianity.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom
Sure but in all other religions people will believe they are justified based on their merit not faith! Only Jesus was honest with us that we are sinners and people don’t like that and they try to work to please God and think they will be credited in the next life but Jesus did the work for us!
@Carazaa Some Christians believe in salvation through works.

In Islam, you can be saved by faith alone although other things are expected, like the pilgrimage to Mecca, fasting during Ramadan, charity, etc., but if you can't do those things, as long as you have faith you will be OK.

In Judaism (the religion Jesus himself followed) there is no concept of salvation at all. You are supposed to live a good life because that is what is expected of you. What happens after your death is 100% up to G-d and you should not be concerned with that while you are alive.

Christians think their religion is unique, but every religion is unique in its own way.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom ok but I don’t think any people except Christians believe in pure faith!
Jesus said he was Gods son and also a Jew, but he was the sacrificed lamb slain for humanities sins! The jews couldn’t fulfill the law, no one can! That is the point of Jesus coming! Because we can not fulfill the requirements to atone for our sins, that’s the point of the Old Testament! How would we know how sinful we are and that it requires death otherwise?

And the faith of muslims are based on faith alone? That’s why they don’t drink alcohol and pray 6 times a day? Who atoned for their sins?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
Christians think their religion is unique
We're not religious. We have a relationship with our Father in Heaven and religion has nothing to do with our relationship; or rather, religion has no part in our relationship with our Father in Heaven.
@GodSpeed63 Are you sure you want to say that? Because if that's true, Christianity can be suppressed. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, not freedom of relationships.

In practice, every religion that involves worship of a deity includes a "relationship" with it. Having been raised Jewish, and having lived several years in a Muslim country, I can assure you that those religions are also "relationships." Christianity is hardly unique in this area.

If it's just a "relationship," why do you keep pounding on the Bible? You shouldn't need a book to tell you about your "relationship." I have a relationship with my family; I don't need a book to explain how to do it.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
Are you sure you want to say that?
It's the truth.
@GodSpeed63 You wouldn't know the truth if it bit you on the ass.

Every religion involving a deity includes a "relationship" of some kind.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@LeopoldBloom
You wouldn't know the truth if it bit you on the butt.
You've demonstrated that you wouldn't know the truth if it bit you on the butt. My Lord and Savior is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
