I would really really really love to but the skeptical part in me is still alive. I think I would need a little miracle and I am all for it.

@revenant Well we have that catholic thing in common.. I was raised in a catholic family went to mass and got confirmed and all that.. I spent 10 years as an altar boy.. yep 5 - 15.. But i never knew the Way of salvation until a friend at work gave me a bible when i was about 22.. I read the Bible for the first time in my life.. Of course i was not a catholic by the time i had read the sermon of Jesus on the mount.. The beatitudes it is also called.. And i did not understand the Way of salvation until i got to the book of Romans..
So i would encourage you to at lest read the 4 Gospels.. That way you can come to understand the Way God has made for humans to be Redeemed.. If you end up loving the Way then i am sure God will cause you to be moved to believe Him.. Accepting His will i believe is the key..
I remember i had my fair share of awesome dreams from God.. After those i could never deny the existence of God.. 😊

@revenant The way of salvation is to be justly forgiven for all ones sins.. Christians don't make it into eternity with God because we are good enough.. We get their because all the things that we have done that make us unworthy are wiped off the record when we believe Jesus ( His teachings ) and we Trust that by his sacrificial death on the cross he paid the penalty ( death sentence ) that we sinners where under.. Jesus has paid our fine if you like..
Jesus died for us because we could never attain the perfection necessary to justify our own entry into His perfect eternal existence.. But once we believe and trust in Jesus God can justly forgive us all transgressions because we have believed Him and trusted in the way He has made for us to be saved..

@Adstar THAT is what I really struggled with. And still do. Being christened gives you a jail free card ? over other people who might be as good or way way way better than you. I could never swallow that. What about people who did not choose to be raised in a christian home or even christian environment or land ?

It is just to have mercy on the remorseful ?
Is it good to forgive those who admit their wrongdoing and ask for forgiveness?
When one believes Jesus one believes all his teachings they believe what Jesus declares good to be good and they agree with Jesus that what he declares bad is bad.. They are acknowledging all their actions against the teachings of Jesus are their transgressions.. Since Human beings cannot live up to the standards of God there was only ever going to be one Way for us Human beings to have eternity with God and that was to be justly forgiven / saved by God..
As for people who are way way better then me.. The problem with being way better then me is that the person is Still Not Perfect.. Both the person who scores 90% and the person who scores 5% need to be forgiven for their failings.. They are both in the same boat.. One needs to be forgiven their 10% faults and the other one needs to be forgiven 95% faults.. Gods offer of complete forgiveness is open to all peoples no matter if they are 99% people or 1% people..

When Jesus died He went to hell to preach to the souls imprisoned their people who had been their since ancient times.. He went their to give the message that saves to people who had died and who had never heard it.. take your time and read the following NT passage..

18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, [b]being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit[/b]: {19} By which also [b]he went and preached unto the spirits in prison[/b]; {20} Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited [b]in the days of Noah[/b], while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."
