Matthew 29 KJV ¶ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Thius again is why it is important what version of the Bible one uses.. Darkened does not mean all the light has been removed..
The Sun will still be viable and the moons light will go from being white/grey as it is now to the color of blood.. We witness the moon turning red when the earth causes the moon to be shaded from the sun.. This is caused by the suns light passing through the earths atmosphere and being scattered.. During the end times the scattering will be increased because of the raised dust level that will be in the earths atmosphere.. This will be caused by a meteor impact..
