@revenant It can put too many unnecessary rules on your life though. Yeah you don't need a church cause they'll definitely try to do that and pressure you into other things. The church gives you a community however, so it can make people less alone in their beliefs. Sometimes they even have groups for singles, if you want to date a fellow believer. But if you have a happy social life now, I suggest you just pray if you want to.

@DestroyerOfIdeologies Better believe in something than not believe in anything. Discipline can be a very good thing. A community could be encouraging !

@revenant Hi. First of all Jesus Christ is the son of the living God. I know starting on this new journey specially when it comes to faith can be confusing. People have different answers and even in Christian community we have different type of religious way of worshipping the Lord or getting to know our maker. I would encourage you to simply start by just saying a little prayer. You can pray like this "Dear Lord Jesus. I invite you into my heart. I want to know you. Show me your blessings and love. Let me know you, come and guide me in the days to come. Come and make my life a new" ~ Amen
That's just an e.g of a short way to start. You don't have to say exactly like that. Just when you pray, say words u want to say from your heart and try to believe it. I hope you'll be patience. Thing's doesn't always goes the way we expect but just believe and have a little faith. I pray that God will touch your life :revenant
