It's a post modern phenomenon, a sort of nature religion loosely based on some old pagan traditions. It appeals to teens a lot since it is about nature, peace and love but is a pagan tradition utilizing witchcraft so it upsets their parents a lot.
All we had to do was grow our hair out, smoke some pot and speak against a controversial war. It's harder to shock parents these days but if your parents are traditional Christians and you say you're practicing witchcraft, that'll usually do it.

That is true. I have wanted to know about it for quite a while now but I was not sure who I could talk to about it. I wanted to be sure that this person has only good intentions, people can be very deceiving.

@LikeADiamond: Most people involved in it are people with good intentions. But they tend to be immature and silly. And since I am a Christian, I also think they are just plain wrong.
