To Skeptics Who Believe In Evolution: Where Will Your So Called ‘Science’ Be Then? [Spirituality & Religion]

There will come a Day of Judgment when Yahweh will judge the world. The world will not judge Him with its unrighteous judgment on that Day, but God, the Righteous Judge, will judge the world for its unrighteousness. So I ask, where will your so called ‘science’ be then? I'm not talking about science itself, just your misunderstanding of it. Where will your unbelief go when you're faced the truth that Yahweh lives? Where will your haughtiness be then? Where will your intellect be? What will you say to God that will convince Him to let you into His kingdom? Without the Spirit of Christ in you, you can’t enter the Kingdom of God.

Well if your religions is right, I will have been wrong - and you will be right. And I will acknowledge and admire you for that on the final judgement.

But until then, can we please just live in relative peace and defend the planet we live on?

@SpiritualMan But what I don't really get here is why there has to be so much conflict between Christians and non-believers like myself. I don't think heaven will be less rewarding for you if I'm not there? - It's actually meant as an honest question, because I am often confronted with christians trying to convert my opinion.

@SpiritualMan Thanks for the reply. I am not familiar with the apocryphal books, but I might look them up. I did read most of the bible and several other holy texts. But it's not for me as of now. And the T next to my name mean that most christians on here who are in the range of orthodox think I am the manifestation of Satan and should be cured or killed...

The most important thing to me is the concept of live and let live. I can also accept that several sources of origin is taught in school (evolution, intelligent design etc.) - Parents can teach their children which one they believe is the best one.

The only two areas I often clash with religious people (apart from the T, for which some people think I should be cured or exterminated) is on the concept of heaven - hence the question. If the bible is literal, I don't think I'll be let in on the basis of the T in my name regardless. And if it's not literal, and I'm a good person, atleast I have that.

The other area is climate change. And that bit just always baffled me. Because as I understand the bible, we are to defend, protect and value the gifts of god. And I think that falls in line with protecting the world. Anyways that's a different discussion.

@SpiritualMan Well it depends on who you listen to. By far the most scientists agree that we are causing the warming. It is true that it goes through hot and cool cycles. But from the ice drillings in the polar ice sheets it has been found that this is by far the fastest heating ever, and that it conincides with industrilization.

But maybe you could shed some light on the concept from a christian perspective? Are we obligated in christianity to defend the home given by god (the earth) - or is it sufficient to listen to the scientists who aren't sure about climate change, and do nothing? - I know that sounds a bit offensive, but I can't really figure a better way to word it. No offense intended.

@SpiritualMan But the concept you wrote there is only logical. It is interesting insight for it's age - I'll grant you that.

I also read that the sinners (people such as myself - again the T in my name) are not to be listened to, because by definition we speak the word of what was later to become the concept of satan?

@SpiritualMan Replanting trees should follow reduction in consumption of fossil fuels. But we don't have to go into it. Because fundamentally I don't think we disagree on the concept that returning to a stone age civilization helps noone.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. It's not my own view, or one I agree with completely. But it's an interesting insight into how some people 'on the other side of the fence' thinks and feels.

@SpiritualMan I don't believe that we will be able to manipulate gravity for at least a few centuries since the particle responsible for gravity was only just discovered recently.

I put my money on energy from solar, wind or nuclear fuels for now. Later hopefully fusion, if people don't resist it once they learn what it is.

@SpiritualMan Currently fusion requires a nuclear reactor to start. Which is why I think people might oppose it. And accidents with that amount of energy could be really violent.

@Lucia Ofcourse you can live in peace, but do we? No!
we are here to just make you aware that this life is short but there is a God who loves you who died for you and is preparing heaven for those who love him!

@SpiritualMan
Now why would you be building starfleets?
Lucia · 36-40, T
@Carazaa We do not, no. But scientifically and secular minds belong to a relatively new phenomenon - the notion that god doesn't exist.

And in most ways I just don't see reason for conflict between the two groups as long as we just make an effort to get a long.

If down by the end of things there's a split road and you go to eternal paradise - and I have to go, well, the other way. I will wish you the very best for all eternity. But as long as we are here it's my goal that I can live as I do without preventing you from living your life and vice versa.

But quite often I am met with a confrontative viewpoint which I don't understand. I'm sure christians meet it the other way around as well, but I don't see that (or knowingly participate) - so that's why I'm interested in it.

@SpiritualMan I think the break throughs are not for actual cold fusion, but for the fusion energy reactor in general. Unless there's something I missed. It's still decades out I think. And it will be terribly expensive.
